The owner of algaCom AG sold his company to Bechtle. The M&A Advisory of UBS AG and AMATIN.M&A-Lawyers (as Legal Advisor) advised the seller on the sale of his company to Bechtle, a listed German IT company.
“Bechtle Steffen Schweiz AG acquires algacom AG in Basel, an IT service provider specializing in collaboration and identity & access management. Founded in 1997, the company strengthens Bechtle Steffen in particular in the area of cloud-based software solutions. algacom employs 34 people, mainly in Basel, Switzerland, Vienna and Tucumàn, Argentina. In fiscal year 2018, sales amounted to around 6.4 million Swiss francs. The IT service provider has a broad customer base of internationally active companies from industry and public administration. The company’s founder, René Altorfer, will ensure a future-oriented succession arrangement by selling the company, but will continue to operate under the umbrella of Bechtle Steffen. algacom will be fully integrated and strengthen the Software Solutions Unit of Bechtle Steffen.” (Media release of Bechtle Holding AG)
